The king must die7 by iberiko The king must die7 by iberiko
My apologies for adding so many pictures....each piece is hand made and different from the rest, each set has a different look/feel, the board also hand made measures 46 by 46 and as always i welcome any feedback/critique/thoughts! :)

My first DD! thanks for all the kind words everyone :)

To answer the most recurring questions...the materials used are wood, marble, slate/travertine (board) epoxy clay, ink, varnish and paint.... and yep, I do take commission work (raul@electronicintermedia.com) oh and...the spiked cube thingie in the background, it was by a different artist in the same show and sadly I do not remember the name :(

And again a million thanks for all the positive response, you guys made my day!

The king must die7 by ~iberiko A gorgeously sculpted chess set (and the board is pretty cool, too!) See the artist's gallery for closeups of these stunning individual chess pieces. ( Featured by LabyrinthCreations )

well it is a bit pricey I must admit...but considering it took about 2k of materials and a couple months of solid work....*shrug* anyway you can see all about it here lopezpomares.com/art-sculpture…  :)

I considered making a chess set once, than I realized I would have to sculpt almost the exact same thing multiple times. this is a great piece, I love how fluid the pieces look.

I suppose if you sculpt them all completely the same it would be rather dull yes, but if you give each one its own flare its not so bad :)
