Is this pyrography (wood burning)?

hi, sorry for the late response.....it was originally going to pyrography yes but i left it undone...what you see is the sketch if you will....just the linework done in sharpie....i might get around to finishing it at some point :)

Hi,Correct me If I'm wrong but I've heard that you can't do pyrography on acoustic guitars due to its thinness. I've been told It bends the thin wood. Is that right?

it might affect some instruments im sure, I have however seen amazing examples of pirography on acoustics and even violins (do a search here in deviant art and you will find some awesome ones) :)

I did the basic outline with pencil and then used a couple of different markers, the original plan was to burn the image in (pyrography) but i got lazy and decided to make it with the markers, after I was done I varnished it so it would not rub off with time :)

thanks! just varnish it afterwards and it should be fine :)

go light on the varnish though cause you will change the sound of the guitar otherwise!

two different sharpies...originally I was going to make it burned into the guitar (pyrography) but i became lazy and went the easy way
